Solution

Since 2017, Café Joyeux has been working to promote the professional inclusion of people with mental and cognitive disabilities through:

- the recruitment of these people (known as "équipiers joyeux") in an ordinary environment and on permanent contracts;
 - their 2-year apprenticeship training, to obtain a state-recognized Catering Agent diploma;
 - changing the way people look at disability.

The Emeraude Solidaire endowment fund is the sole shareholder of Café Joyeux and supports the Centre de Formation des Apprentis Joyeux (CFAJ).

Recent result

Since 2017, 16 Café Joyeux have opened their doors and hired 154 team members on permanent contracts, all of whom have mental or cognitive disabilities.
71 team members are undergoing training delivered by the Centre de Formation des Apprentis Joyeux, with a view to obtaining the state diploma of Catering Agent. 17 team members have already obtained a diploma.

Goal

The aim is to train 70 new crew members by the end of 2024.

The money will be used for

Donations raised will support the launch of a new class of crew members, in training via the Joyeux Apprentice Training Center.
